I know for a long time, there have been more buyers than available Minis, and that many dealers have been getting MSRP. Has that changed with the current downturn? I'm in Durham, NC, which means I'll most likely be buying from Flow, if that makes any difference.

Research shows that it matters where you live. In the last week I was offered a Clubman S, MSRP $27350, offered at $25000.

A JCW Mini coupe, MSRP $33050, offered at $30200.

This was in OKC, and there is only one Mini Dealer in the entire state.

Now's the time to pick up a "nearly new" MC!! Looks like as close to a buyer's market that I've seen on these, and you can save a lot of $$, enough to do the needed mods....;)

We're still getting MSRP here in the Northeast. Very very little discount if any. We are still very busy with business as well.

I tried to buy a new JCW from Mini of Dallas but not only were they not interested in having one sent here from another dealer, they were not interested in taking $1 off the MSRP. They said that is order to get a JCW from another dealer they have to give up like their next 5 convertible slots, high competition between dealers apparently. They suggested I buy the one they had on the lot. I suggested they shove it up their A-- and bought a 2005 S for $15K instead and it is certainly more than 1/3 as much fun to drive than the $44K MSRP JCW!:mad

So in Dallas apparently, they are not having any trouble moving them for MSRP

45K:eek::eek::confused

Their inventory list doesnt show it at mini of dallas... Moritz Mini has 3 or 4 JCW at around 35k. Probably worth the drive.

I'm getting a new JCW coupe next week.
The dealership I'm buying it from is getting it from an out-of-state dealership, and I'm getting $500.00 off the MSRP. I'm paying one half of the shipping cost, though.

It's not loaded-up with options; otherwise, it would've been out of my range. It had an MSRP of $34,300.
