Scratches on passenger window exterior.....

Whats up guys. I recently changed the passenger front window regulator. I recently noticed long deep scratches on the exterior of my window, so I am guessing it may not be caused by the regulator itself, but I am not sure.
We have had some cold icy weather recently so maybe that can be the cause?
Any input would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

typically, exterior window scratches are caused by sand/dirt getting caught in the window felt/seal.

can the window be polished out... yes but its difficult doing it yourself and its costly paying someone else to do it. If it really bothers you, youre probably better off finding a clean piece of used glass.
