I know i will probably have to roll the fender lip in the back, but will this offset work for the e34's in this wheel size if it is lowered 1.4", if not whats the correct offset :
18x8.5 +40 offset front and
18x9.5 +15 offset rear.
Is the front offset too much? also, is there a reason that nobody puts 19's on e34s, i've never seen it. could you put 19's on it if you have run xxx/30/19 tires?

19's?????? Why?
The front offset is not enough, the wheels will sit to far in.
You will need to run spacers to bring them out.

Its an Oakland thing. Most won't understand.
If you got some dough to spend I would recommend E34n's 18" MK1's.

yea i want to pick up some staggered 18's, i was looking at the Beyern mesh, but just wondering why nobody runs 19's. I dont think it would look too tacky, but then again i've never seen it. so what would be the correct offset for the front if its a 8.5 inch rim?

Rear will be no sweat.. Front needs 25mm spacer.

gold 16" BBS RS there is a dent on the lip of one of the rear wheels, starting to leak air, i wana get some new rims, take the bbs's apart, clean them up and sell em
so the correct offset for an 8.5 in rim would be about 65mm?

You want between a 13 and 20 offset. 17s are ideal. anything larger gets rough quick. it will also wear out your front end suspension components faster.

Google for an offset diagram so you get a visual idea of what offset means.

there's two people in berkeley with 19 or 20?s in berkeley. they actually look pretty good to me. i think people on this board tend to dislike them more due to the fact that once you go over 17" it really takes away from the awesome driving experience that the e34 offers. some probably think its tacky but out here it certainly isn't. the general consensus around here is that 18" is about as big as you want to go unless your car is heavily cosmetically modded.
