Aren't all our knock sensors cracked?

Is there anyone on these boards who doesnt have cracked knock sensors? I mean, other than y'all who just replaced them recently?

Is there anything concrete about whether these things need to be replaced when they're cracked. (I mean, I may as well pop them out but mind you that's ~$75 per pop *ouch! After gaskets, plugs, valley pan, injectors...it adds up).

Can these things run another 50-100Kmiles (while cracked) and no one would ever know?

when the knock sensors are old, they get cracked, and eventually they will not work and you will get a message. i recently did a lot of work to my car, and replaced a lot of things. it will add up in price, but its good to get everything done at the same time. please if you wish relate to my thread.
