anyone know what the channels underneath the carpeting are for? i finally finished my seat removal(bastards are heavy) and i find the channels underneath the carpeting. that and there is some rust...:(. but what are those channels for.

If it's those, they are for the rear heat that comes out from under the front seats.

If you're building a track car, you won't need them. If you're ever going to return it to running condition you'll need them someday to make your rear seat passengers comfy.
