Mentioned on another thread Tuesday how have not had one shake rattle roll or service issue in the 1st 10k on the 335. Well should have knocked on wood.

Every bump feels magnified in RunFlats.Last week I hit a bump in an unmarked construction zone. Hard but not shattering. FF to yesterday. Noticed a slight vibration headed out to shop. Stopped to get the car washed. Kid says you have a bubble on the RtFt. sidewall. Crap where am I going to get a tire on Christmas Eve. Tire shops nearby don't have it in stock. Doublecrap. Everything closes early. Its 1030 Call the dealer 3 instock. "Can you put in on?" Waiting for the "no we are closing." "Yes we can". They closed at 1"Wow great" Was out by noon and back to shopping 350+ lighter in the pocket. :( Only have pictures on the phone of the bubble but the service advisor sent this inside picture via e-mail. Yikes Lucky it didn't shread. The tire didn't lose a bit of air pressure Who knows for how much longer it would have held up after seeing the inside damage. Hoping to maybe get something back from the DOT. Utah DOT sent us a check for a cracked windshield in the Mini from a detour off I-15 onto a gravel road that shouldn't have happened.

Well thank goodness for the RFTs then, a regular tire would most definitely had a blowout under such circumstances. Think of it this way, at least you were unharmed, no accident and didn't get stranded and your holidays are not ruined.

Thanks. Yes very lucky and really made me a believer in some runflats now. Never was before. If you look up Bridgestone Turanzas Reviews, they have gotten pretty horrible reviews in the past(especially '06 and prior) for noise and wear and BMW replaced many sets. I think they may have gotten the compound right this time around. 10k miles no cupping, excess wear nor road noise.

I still would not accept the bridgestones RFT...it came with my car and I didn't like that they feel stiff over every lil rut in the road. When I found out about the SB, I brought the car in @ 9,500 miles and had them install Conti's and like the ride better now.

Only good tire Bridgestone seems to make is the winter lineup.

Good luck with that. When I hit this huge pothole with my 330ci (had the 18" optional rims) it cracked both my right rims and trashed my tires. I had to file an insurance claim. I mailed a complaint to the city, which I had to pay $5 for, they send a letter back to me staing, "sorry." Then the insurance said it was automatically my fault b/c it was a single vehicle accident! :mad I had to go to court and fight that! I got lucky and won, so I only had to pay a $500 deductable, but the claim ended up being over $1,200. I picked up 2 refurbished rims for $225 each, and 4 new discontinued tires from tirerack for about $500. I ended making out big time! If you want to talk about luck...

My Potenzas are great too, extremely grippy and not at all noisy or harsh. Don't yet have enough mileage on them to comment on wear though. I think all the problems are mainly with the Turanza lineup.

and I'm sure only the driver was at fault for all of them.:rolleyes Will post how it goes.

Just an update. FL DOT/Construction co phoned back and sent papers. The construction company is going to cover the replacement.:)
