Looking at a 2003 where one of the wood trim pieces has some play - it can be pushed back against the dash.

How are the wood trim pieces attached? Glue, or ? Would a "fix" (if I decide I care about it) involve simply slipping some epoxy behind it?

2003's have a different holding peices than mine, a 97*...they have little clips that the wood grain pushes into between the dash, and doors, those clips tend to ware out, and are are about 75 cents each from the dealer. anyone able too look up the part number?

Thanks...there is a fair amount of pressure pushing the wood out away from the dash, so I was wondering how it would be held in.

Just look up the diagrams (under VEHICLE TRIM) at any of the 3 major online part databases and you can see how the trim clips to the dash and what the BMW part nbrs are and what the wholesale prices are:
www.realoem.com/bmw/select.do
www.bmwfans.info/original
www.bmwmobiletradition-online.com/bmw

BTW..feel free to save all THREE of these sites to your favorites folder. The info you can get from these sites is invaluable when it comes to figuring out how stuff comes apart and goes together, which parts cross reference to other BMW models, production date cut-offs based on build date, etc.
