Hey all,

Got a 2000 e39 eurospec 540i with the luxury package. Would like to lower the stock suspension in the front by about 3/4 to 1in. Any suggestions that are inexpensive?

Buy lowering springs?

I hope you will lower both the front and rear if you do it though.

You will be very unhappy if you just do the front. It will greatly upset the balance. Frankly it is unsafe.

Yeah, I gave that some thought too. I am purely doing this for aesthetics. The handling is great as it is. (Also I'm pouring all my $$ into my M3). Any thoughts on risks/benefits of just cutting the springs down to size a bit?

risk: snap oversteer. You're driving along fine and without warning your tail end is all over (or off) the road.

i would be more than happy to sell you my stock sport sway bars and sport springs, but then again, you are from florida, so shipping would kill.
