im looking at massives bbk the 300mm x 32mm which requires a lot more room behind the spokes of the rims, im trying to find rims that would work with this here is the link to massives brakes

http://www.massivebrakes.com/kits/e30/front/300/32/318-325

as for wheels ive been looking around a bit but honestly dont know what im looking for, not too picky quite honestly just ones that would fit either 16 or 17 inch wide most likely, ones that keep catching my eye are these

http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/WheelCloseUpServlet?target=runWheelSearch&initialPartNumber=W0173020022MGS&wheelMake=O.Z.&wheelModel=Ultraleggera&wheelFinish=Matte+Graphite+Silver&showRear=no&autoMake=BMW&autoModel=325i&autoYear=1989&autoModClar=&filterSize=All&filterFinish=All&filterSpecial=false&filterBrand=All&filterNew=All&sort=Brand

would these work? and what does the "backspacing:5.47 inches" mean?

would i be better off just getting some rims and using spacers?

thanks a lot!! :D

what you need to do is ask the person where you are buying the wheels to call the wheel shop and have then talk so they can figure out the correct offset and xfactor for your car but, I would suggest to get a good and knowledgeable wheel shop and I definitely will not suggest you doing the calculation mos likely you will end up with a bunch of problems. If you need some wheel places let me know I can get you some Phone #good luck

*Backspacing, similar to offset, is the distance from the hub mounting surface to the inside lip of the wheel (measured in inches).

I think those are smaller in dia than the stock brakes. There not big at all either way... I bet a 10mm spacer and your stock wheels would work.

i might not have mentioned this is not for the m3, its for an s52 e30, so the stock 14inch bottle caps wont hold em ;) these brakes need 16 is what they said...
