View Full Version : Paging the Tire Rack...X5 spare question

I know some X5 models (3.0 or 4.4) came with a full size spare, but think most spares are 17-inch. Did anyone's sport model come with an 18-inch spare (or larger?) If so, what is the width of the wheel and what is the tire size?

I am having a devil of a time finding a donut spare for my car and would like the extra security of a full size spare to match my 255/55R18's but want to make sure it fits under the X5's load floor.

Can this source be trusted?

In my experience the 4.4 came with a 235/65R17 spare...even with 255/55R18 tires on all 4 corners...I believe the wheel it was on is a 7x17

There's a factory 19" x 5" compact alloy spare for the 4.6. Circle BMW has them for $140, part number 36116756858. The appropriate tire size is 155/80-19, part number 36120418846, which they also sell for $186.

esctuning.com has the tire for $184.66 and the wheel for $208.10

EDIT: I see in another post you know of it. Nevermind

I called Circle and they tell me there are none of these here in the entire USA. Confirmed that with several other dealers. It is now being special ordered from Germany...who knows how long that will take :banghead:
