I have a 92 318is that I bought as a project, and I would like to swap in an M50 (or S50, if I had spare coin). I don't have a time frame and I don't drive the car (except for once a week on a private road to keep it running), but I am going to start keeping my eyes open for an M50 to swap in. What is a good price for a running M50, in this area?

If anyone has an M52/S52 laying around, I could use one, too :). Think we're dealing with some rod knock on the current M52, I've never heard a VANOS unit as loud as this....

Oh the irony! Just after trading PM's with you I see this thread! I'm doing the M50 swap in mine on Saturday. I already bought the kit from M50manifold.com and new fuel rail cover. I even know of a local guy to tune it for cheap. Call me and we can meet up on Saturday.

BTW: I have a friend looking for M50 manifolds as well. He'll be there to help on the swap.

I have an M50 sitting in my car, been there for the past two months. Ran great. I just have to get it out of the car once exams are over.
