That's an F1 sound. Kreissieg makes a muffler for the E46 that is F1, but costs $5k. I would like to know what motor/exhaust system that car has.

by the sounds of his shifts, i'd say sequential trans aswell, sounds like astraight pipe with only a cat-back

Mine sounded the same :rolleyes when it had the Gruppe-M intake and Supersprint Race cat-back box, pretty sure it is a S50B32 engine (THE M3 engine!). Now it is quieter since I sold the Gruppe-M as the car scared the 5hIt out of the pedestrians :alright and called cops attention far too easy...

funny you should mention this as the engine that i suspect thats in that chassis is the judd-f1 engineered(10k:eek: red line) v8 that i have seen in other e36's.

Not even close. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f_qtEdmhB4k

The first two cars are both euro motors most likely with the motorsport cams and other motorsport parts that cost 10 grand each. They prob rev up to 8-9k WITH NO CATS! Cmon, this is a race car, no cats. I bet you the suspension is moton or something rediculously expensive. You guys need to go to the track and see some c-mod cars. I'm sure you'll see a euro engine'd race car, in person you'll shit yourself, guaranteed.

Exactly. probably a moton or ohlins motorsport setup. for the suspension, and some tuned variety of the S50B32

I take it the oil pump nut has been taken care of on this car.

i would say probably closer to 30k and most the parts are replaced very often.

dont think euro motors had that problem.

So as he's slowing down, you hear this popping sound... Why is that? Because he has no cats? I've always wondered this...

But none the less, a very aggressive sounding car. I bet you can hear that thing from a few miles away.

Unburned fuel meets oxygen when it exists the exhaust pipe.

If i remember right, i've seen Alfred at the Rechberg Hillclimb last year. Great looking car.

Also, i think it's built to FIA Group A spec, but i have no info on the specifics, sadly.
