OBD1 Converted M3 - Can I read the codes?

Have a '98 m3 with an OBD1 conversion. I popped a CEL this weekend and wanted to take it to autozone (or is it advanced?) to have the code read.

Is this possible on my car?

Don't see why not.

Just wanted to make sure. I wasn't sure if obd1 plugged in under the dash like obd2 does, before I make the trip down there.

Don't know about OBDII but in OBDI you read the codes by plugging into the little round capped thingie by the positive jump terminal.

I'm not sure if AZ will have the BMW specific plug ... I though they only do OBD2 scans. You'd better call them to make sure
