View Full Version : just got back from track 1.495 60' 10.73 at 131

just got back from Sac race way, the dsm suppose to run me for 1k scare & back out never show up, so i decided to get some time run 2 pass with low boost on the launch. 10.716 at 131mph 10.738 at 130mph 60' was awsome 1.498
third pass try to launch on high boost , 60' 1.721 and either the tranny or the clutch broke , i couldnt put in to any gear ,
will remove the tranny out tommorow and see what happen,tranny didnt made any noise ,but could not put in any gear at all

you guys have any idea what might be ? before i take out my tranny:redspot

thats a great 60ft. sounds like clutch disc blew apart or your slave took a shit.

clutch pedal still felt normal ,had pressure when i m pressing on it

took out tranny this morning ,not thing break except the clutch disc & pressure plate are seize together
what could be wrong ? any idea ? thanks

What stage southbend clutch did you have? What clutch are you going with next? Damn good times, good job!

sounds like you got that clutch pretty hot pulling off those nice 60ft times!

basically you got the two surfaces so hot they welded together. Since you have the tranny off i would replace it. What you could have tried is put the car into gear and crank it over. That might brake them apart

i already send the clutch back for repair. and have it custom 6 puck so it get more cooler after doing a burn out

i just got back from the track again on sunday , and the clutch seize it again .so decide to get it built 6 puck for drag racing only. will let you guy update when i get my new clutch back and head out to sac race way on 12 /13

What compound are they sending you that keeps seizing? This is with a Southbend unit?

ughh, still racing in december.:( i need to move to where its warmer. tracks have been closed for over a month here.
