BMW Navi Retrofit No Sound?

I just completed the Navigation retrofit in my 2000 528i. I understand why my clock/outside temp ect doesn't work on the bordmonitor. My issue is with the navigation audio instructions. I can not get any audio instructions. I can only hear her when I turn up and down the navigation volume (softer/louder). Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

You might have to go into settings and turn on voice prompts.

How would you do that?

Thanks everyone for your help. I updated my software to v22 and now the voice works!
