Do the wheels fit snuggish (yeah lol) on the hub? I've seen some wheels, SSR's for instance, that have a generic hub bore and then have machined centering rings to adapt to each individual model. I doubt thats the case for these wheels since they were made exclusively for BMW's, the only hub rings you'd possibly need would be the 74.1>72.56 rings that tirerack has. It'd probably be easiest to call them. Either way, you should be able to tell by popping the centercap out and checking the wheels clearance on the hub whether it needs them or not.

if you didn't run rings before. that could explain the shaking. the part is A670, i believe from tirerack.com

funny thing is i didnt run rings with my style 5s! but yes thats the problem, i removed the bolts, and moved the wheel around... plays up and down and left and right!! i checked the rear with the wheel spacer and its not snugg!it does the same i can move it in a circle... i cant blv i never checked before! geeeeeeeeeeeeez, and no body else noticed and at least 4 different people messed with the wheels!! ahh i drove 2000 miles like that!

so should i just call tire rack and order them, or do i need acs rings?

do i need to have certain numbers btw?

Your style 5's were off an e38, wouldn't need them. Only e39 style 5's need rings. n00b;)

They should know what you're talking about, but part numbers wont hurt. But yeah, you just need standard hub rings to go from e39 to any other bmw (74.1 to 72.56)

just tell them you need hubcentric rings for a E34 BMW to fit wheels from a E39 to it. simple. once you give them complicated questions, they get confused. its the same with most other stores.

The ACS line of wheels often come with ACS spacers when ordered. I know all three sets I've had either had them for the front or the back..sometimes all four depeding on which model of car they were originally ordered from. They are a full face part..meaning they have lug bolt holes as well as the fitment for hub centric all as one part..along with a tension spring.
I see no reason why a hub centric general fitment spacer wouldn't work really. I have that type on mr current fron 18"s. I just havent driven on them yet.
Cheers,Vinny

Be patient, wait till you get the right rings.
Call bavauto, seeing as they sell ACS.

i had a similar problem when I put on my acs wheels. I used hubcentric rings fore 39 on none e39 vehicles and it turned out great. funny thing is though is that the rear wheels are perfectly hubcentric while the fronts are not.
