You might have to, I am not sure. But think about it, if you put on a reduction pulley, the belt theoretically doesn't have to be as big. However, the belt has a spring-loaded tensioner on it. This is why if your belt goes, you normally have to replace the crank pulley because the tensioner smacks it that hard. This is totally random, but on the scheduled services for JCW's they replace the belts...FYI

when i get my pulley done in a couple weeks im going with a new belt for it... and i think im only doing a 15-16% reduction pulley...i dont want to go higher than that im afraid more boost=more wear... and i want my car to live for a while

yeah, im getting a 15% next week, but im also getting in the same install day, headers, and my short throw. then a few weeks later a megan exhaust. i currently only have a CAI, and 22mm rear sway. this should be a whole new car for me.
