Ok i believe mine has gone out after poking around here using the search feature and found this process to bleed it once its on, is this the proper bleeding process "You're not supposed to operate the clutch at all when the slave cylinder is unbolted from the transmission. Bolt it to the trans, pump the clutch 5-6 times, then loosen the bleed screw. Now push the clutch to the floor. With the clutch on the floor, tighten the bleed screw, then pull the clutch up by hand again. This will pull brake fluid from the reservoir to the lines. Do this several times until there are no bubbles and the fluid is clean! It helps to have a friend, or a pressure bleeder. If you have a pressure bleeder you won't need to push the clutch at all." Will be doing this week and hopefully solves the problem

Why not just buy a new one - they're cheap.

I just did this over the weekend... Make sure the rod sits in its proper position before you bolt the slave on. And also make sure you fill the slave cylinder with fluid before installing it as well. I did not fill the slave before installing it again which resulted in the bleeding being almost impossible to achieve. Good luck.. Later, Johnny.

Oh and as for bleeding... you must HOLD the clutch pedal down THEN loosen the screw.. And with the pedal STILL on the floor tighten the screw again.. thats why you need a buddy to help you hold the pedal.. I would highly recommend using a pressure bleeder. You can rent it at auto zone... Hope this helps..., Johnny.

I did purchase a new one, have never done it and never used a pressure bleeder, so it will be interesting

Prefill the slave (messy pour and pump or attach a line)

Unbolt the old slave, but leave attached to the hydraulic line

Quicky remove old slave and attach the new slave to the line but don't bolt to bellhousing (try not to lose fluid, let air into the line).

Push in the rod by hand and you will hear the bubbles squirt out - do this several times holding it at an angle to force bubble to the top.

Bolt the slave to the bellhousing (never depress clutch with the slave loose) Pump the pedal rapidly, hold to floor - release rapidly from the floor (by hand if the pedal doesn't return) - it will self-bleed - if you are working with someone else, they can see the bubbles burp into the reservoir - the system is self-bleeding if you prefill and push the air out of the slave (with the slave full of air, I don't see how any type of bleeding can efficiently remove this trapped air as the slave piston won't be moving)
