I'm replacing the heater valve on my 528i. My car has the earlier valve with the additional pump underneath for the rear heating. I was wondering if it would be possible to use the newer version of the pump that doesn't have the pump underneath. It appears that everything routes to the same places, but I wanted to check with the experts on this one. The parts are as follows:

What I have: Part#: 64 11 8 374 994

The newer version:
Part#: 64 12 8 374 995

Thanks all.

I'm not even finding your first part (64 11 8 374 994) in the ETK as being applicable to a 528i. It's only listed under the 540i...

Now that's interesting. That's definitely the part that's in there, I can see the additional pump underneath, but Bimmer Specialist lists the parts as follows and my car has a 02/08 build date:

Any ideas? I do have the three male ends coming from the firewall that seems to fit on the 540i diagram that don't seem to be on the 528. I just want to make sure I pick up the right parts/hoses.
