First off. what boggles my mind is i thought these things were galvanized steel... normally that don't rust from my experience.

2nd of all... the stupid little screw at the bottom is rusted out, i've tried to use that stupid screw removal thing, for stuck screws and it just destroyed it.

So my question is, how do i go about removing this w/o destroying everything in the door??? lol I have a feeling I'm gunna have to replace the window channel which isn't a big deal because it doesn't effect the alignment of the window.

the reason I'm trying to get the channel out is because its the only way to properly service the door handle.

Best thing to do is get a new guide and drill the head of the bolt out so you can get the guide out. Then you need to find out why you got moisture in there in the first place and fix that as well.

I guess if you can't get the bolt out you'll have to cut the channel so you can get a vice grip on the bolt, or something similar, then get a new bolt and channel to replace them.

+1 on finding out where the moisture is coming from, it's possible that's why you're replacing things maybe?

Nah I know why... door handle seal has failed.
