Hey guys,
I am an e36 owner, but my dad has an E38 that he may want me to sell since he is getting a newer 7-series.

I am trying to figure a fair price for a absolutely stock 1997 740il with 73k miles on it. It is an Automatic and is in great shape.

It is his company car so the company paid for all servicing so it only went to the best BMW shops and was always serviced on or ahead of schedule for anything it needed.

The car also got a big chunk of its miles driving from CT to NC several times a year so it has a big percentage of highway miles.

Do you guys have a feel for what would be a fair listing price when I advertise it on places like cars.com and autotrader?

Thanks in advance for any input.

Wow, it sounds too low to me but www.kbb.com says $19,000 for a 1997 740iL with 73k in Excellent condition. Run it for yourself, cause the only option I check was CD player. I did Private Party value.

Look at simmilar cars on cars.com/autotrader.com. There are a few liste in my area (Washington, DC):

50k miles - $30,900
67k miles - $21,900
83k miles - $19,900
82k miles - $17,000

So I guess that bluebook is reasonable. I forget that it's 2003, making that car 6 years old.
