Well ive tried back to black on my trim and it kinda made a difference but really not what i wanted... should i try sever coats of it??
ive also tried armor all on it and it made it shiny but lasted...uhhh not very long..
Anyone have a product that will give my trim the "wet" look.. and make it actually last?

For all the trouble youll go through trying to restore old faded trim, you can purchase new trim relatively cheaply online... just something to consider...
Forever black is a trim dye, works great.

I used Forever black and it's streaky, it works but it's finicky
Black Wow works well

I'd definitely vote for Black Wow. Great results, and lasts quite a while compared to other products on the market.

Do not get Forver Black or Black Wow on your paint. Tape the area off and it will save you a lot of headaches.
I got it on my paint in my spots and immediately wiped it off. You will just have to polish that area or use goo gone to remove any of it off you paint

If it's not completely faded you can try restoring it with peanut butter or peanut oil. I've used both and they work surprisingly well.

Forever Black is a dye, not a dressing, so in theory it should last as long as the dye that was originally in the new trim. From my experience with Forever Black:
- Apply it and wipe off the excess with an old microfiber. The included foam applicator will make the dye froth up, which will leave a permanent mar on the trim if you let the froth dry.
- You don't want it to dry on your paint, but I think it only really reacts with plastic/rubber, so a little bit on your paint isn't the end of the world. Just wipe it off thoroughly, then wash with soap and water.
- Ideally, remove the trim to clean and dye it. Wash the car underneath the trim while you have it off.
Pull the trim off your car first, then wash it.
Then apply the forever black. I put 2 coats on, about 5 months ago, still looks good.

i went to Rite-Aid and bought some of their black shoe polish, comes in a bottle similar to forever black, with the foam applicator
i applied 2 overly generous coats and it still looks brand new, been through many washed and still looks great
.....i think it was like 3 bucks and i still have more than half the bottle left lol
If you want something to last, then paint is the only way to go.
I used SEM trim paint on all of my E30 trim, and it looks factory and perfect.
