? 4 those running front upper strut brace

What are you guys doing to protect the upper strut bearings front dust etc?? I noticed that w/ out the plastic dust cover the bearing's seem to corrode quickly:mad

My car is an '89 so the dust cap size is different than for later cars. Forget if its bigger or smaller though.

Definitely smaller. Looks like I'll need to get my hands on a couple of those ( I don't see how they wouldn't fit my '94?).

oh cool, well I have an 89 build date so I believe I should have the small dust cap. Hope they fit when I get home from school and finally get to put my RD brace on.

Good to know that the dust cap from the older E34s will work with the strut brace. My '95 also has no caps.

Thanks guys, My 91' had the bigger style dust cap, SO I guess I need to grab a set of smaller ones off one of my parts cars.

yea, and even if you grabbed the smaller caps they wouldnt fit, if i am correct thats because the bearing is 19mm, not 22

I am looking into picking one of these up used. What would you say about putting one on a stock '89 535i, with no suspension mods done yet? It is local, so thinking about getting it. Would an improvement be noticeable, or would I need tigher/lower springs, thicker sway bars etc. to feel the difference?
