525i engine codes

I have a BMW E34 525i M50TU VANOS 1993 July. Vin = BG60295.
I heard about self diagnostic system in this car. According to materials in the internet a have to depress the accelerator pedal to the floor 5 times within 5 seconds with key in position of 2. But nothing happens.

aka a stomp test, put the key in the run position and almost immediatly put the pedal to the floor quickly five times, then the cel will flash go off for 2 seconds then flash out a 4 digit code

ya, but after 8th time I realised that nothing gonna happen. :) A tried as fast as I could. And not so fast. Nothing. :(

It took me a few tries to get it right. Right when you get the key into the ON position do 5 steady stomps. Don't smash the pedal but do it quickly.

I found the problem...Metal you are in Latvia....The stomp test is only on US Spec Cars... as far as I am aware.

I had a problem that it didn't work before I changed the bushings on the pedal it didn't register the full throtle. Best mod ever BTW, car feels like it got a blower now, except you look down and you are still doing 50.

I found the problem...Metal you are in Latvia....The stomp test is only on US Spec Cars... as far as I am aware.

I can buy all nessesary wires on ebay, but I heard that it's not working with laptop USB.
