Athough I'm sure this has already been addressed, I'm a lazy bastard and don't want to sift through all the threads.

So.....I have an 07 335i without a sport package. As a result, my oil temp runs hot as I occasionally drive it hard and through the canyons around my house.

Is there an aftermarket solution to this so I don't have to pay $2400!!!!! If you have an answer...you will be my new best friends :confused

Do you have the factory oil cooler?

Bear in mind they are an upgrade to your exsisting cooler and you will need to buy the oil filter adaptor as well as some pretty good labor to get this installed.
Be sure to check that out and you might want to find a wrecked E90 336 with a cooler and see if you can get the entire assembly.
I bought the entire kit and had the dealer install it so that if there was a problem I would not hear BMW whine that what I did was unauthorizied.

I might be wrong but the kit these guys supply looks first rate but you have a lot of other pieces needed to make it happen.

If you *** read up on the posts you might have found out that some people are getting the OEM oil cooler retrofitted for free by BMW. I suggest searching the threads so that you know the best way to go about this. I believe you had to make your car go into limp mode and complain, but I'm not sure, and then talk to your dealer or BMW NA directly.
