So, how and why do trap speeds differ? What I mean is between the 1/8 mile and 1/4 mile. I've seen some differ 22mph and some like 35+mph. I've done a lil drag racing. And, my best so far is 8.47 (1/8 mile) at 86mph w/ a 2.01 60ft. What would I be trapping in the quarter? My best trap is 88.XXmph. I hope that I explained myself good enough.

i ran the exact same times in the 1/8 and trapped 105.4 at 1/4 but ive seen e36's hit 109 (as discussed in another thread) as per you being boosted as well though im not sure i guess u should be around 110

I just ran an 8.725 at 86.37 mph, I wish we had a 1/4 mile track around here...

I know but Im real heavy. Everything stock including vader, 2 amps, 2 subs w/ custom box, spare tire & jack, plus 1/2 tank of gas. And, me 170lbs. So, I figure around 3550lbs. my car needs a diet.

Because cars with different amount of power accelerate differently? What's so confusing?

Yea, I know, but thats too broad.

Some cars pick up proportionally more speed in the top half compared to others.

Obviously the car that is continuing to make power into the higher RPMs and boost is going to have a larger speed increment in the second half of the track.

Some turbo setups run out of urge at higher loads, whereas some pull all the way through.

Got ya! Thanks for the info. I'd say my 20g runs out of urge, but I will something better this summer.

Your dyno sheet should tell you all you need to know .. as the RPMs climb, what does the horsepower (torque) curve look like? If it flattens out, hen that's going to feel differently to say a curve that climbs relentlessly.

prob like 106mph if your NA but if your turboed prob slightly faster like 110-115

Im not sure. The PO said it dyno'd at 353whp. but, I never got to see the sheet.

Well, I am I'd be happy w/ anything above 110mph.
