BMW has been out of the cruiser market since it stopped building its R 1200 C models a few years back. The market shift towards ever-larger engines was what prompted the German marque's withdraw, as the firm's latest Boxer engines just can't be bored or stroked nearly enough to compete with some of the V-Twin behemoths that currently fill the market.

looks pretty weird from the side angle (can't figure out how to post the picture, but it's in the gallery in the link). However, I absolutely love the spoked wheels and single-sided swingarm combo.

There's a heat shield but it'll force you to ride with your legs open and wasps and shit hitting your package :rofl

If they put the exhaust somewhere else.

Reminds me of a Harley Nite Rod. Unfortunately, I think it looks kinda awkward from the side view.

The exhaust position. Brillant.

Is it just me or does it sort of look like an old style cafe racer?

HIDEOUSSSS. I realize this is a BMW forum, but there is NO way I'd buy that. It looks like the bastard child of a Harley V-Rod and a Buell. Ugh...wtf BMW. Not that Beemer's have ever been that sexy, but wow.

That's definitely one of the sexiest beemer's I've ever seen. I'd consider getting one if I could grow the balls to ride a bike with all the crazies out there...

Ducati's have the same burn your legs exhaust and it's really not as bad as you think. I put exhaust wrap on mine and it helped a little.

I don't know what you guys are talking about, but that bike looks dope!

Although, the placement of the exhaust is "somewhat" disconcerting. lol

Carbon Fibre exhaust and shield over the pipe would solve the heat issue, the twins on my ducati are carbon fibre and I can put my bare hands on them at peak temperature - they don't transfer heat at all! The idea behind this concept is to allow it to be very customisable by the client.

My combination would be dual seat, star spoke rims, matt black on black with chrome parts and pipes, carbon fibre underseat twin exhausts to expose the single sided swing arm, then miniature wind deflector over the guage display. If they let me, I would cut the exhausts short and just have them running straight out from the side - near my feet.

Also note that BMW has also put out news on a F800R:

Wtf, it's got spokes. Instead of getting with the age, they took a step back in the wrong direction. Oh, and the muffler has a heat shield, so it wont burn the thighs. Though I really don't like the head light(s?). It also looks shaft driven. It's aimed towards harley and honda cruisers.
