I am new to the forum and hope someone can help. I have a 2001 540i with 100,182 miles on it that I have had for 3 months now. The car is in excellent condition and runs great. Started having some glitches with electronics.
-I started noticing the problems first with the airconditioner. Sometimes when the air is off when you turn the car off and get out for the day and the next day you get in and start the car the air will be on automaticaly. Sometimes if the temp is set at 60, which is always the case living in Texas, the temp will adjust itself to 70 or 72 degrees.
-Sometimes when I try to start the car when you turn the key it will try to turn over for about half a second and stop. Turn the key off and try again and it will start just fine.
-Most recent the power adjustment for the steering wheel and drivers seat stopped working. Found the #13 fuse for steering and drivers seat was blown. Replaced fuse and keeps blowing.
Doe's any of this have to do with a bad ingition switch I have been reading about on different discussions or is it something else? Hope someone can help.

Replaced fuse and keeps blowing.
This is usually caused by mechanical binding or a bad motor. Does it blow durring seat adjustment or steer wheel adjustment?

No when I replace the fuse you can do all the adjustments to the seat and steering wheel you want. It is sometime after you start the car that it happens, usually after a few minutes. Most recent it went 2 days without blowing, prior to that it would happen after a few minutes of driving.
