Hi, I saw an ad for a 1993 BMW 320i. I really want to buy it, it's only 5000$ and it looks like it's in great shape.
It has 200,000KM on it tho and I know that BMW parts aren't the cheapest around so I was wondering what are known "problem parts" on this model? Should I be expecting any surprises at this "age"?
Edit: Hmm, this might not be in the right section, sorry about that, feel free to move it.

Make sure it's in pretty good condition for 5k. Most of the people here will crap all over that price without taking into consideration that cars are more expensive in Canada. Still, for 5k you should be getting a pretty good 320i. I'll let the E36 guys fill you in on the problem areas, though.

Well it looks like it's in great condition, I'll take a closer look this weekend, my father has been a mechanic all of his life so he should be able to tell if there's anything wrong with it but it might not all be obvious.

I'm also wondering why it's so hard to find information on a 1993 320i on the internet, it's almost as if it doesn't exist, could it be that it is not the right year?
If it does exist, what engine is in there? The man selling it says that it's an inline 6 cylinder engine but he doesn't specify anything else. I saw 2.0L somewhere, is that right?
