2007 bmw 335i keys [Archive] - Bimmerforums

Would a key on ebay that is BMW genuine work for a 2007 BMW 335i Coupe? I just have to get it programed at the dealership? I was quoted at $200 for the key and the install so hoping to save some $$

I cannot post a hyperlink cause I am a newbie, but has anyone done this and had everything work out ok?

that dealt with the same issue - a E90 BMW key available on eBay. You'll note that, yep, I had asked the same question. The poster "nm335" gave the definitive answer - no, a key sold on eBay cannot work, as it must have a code compatible with your car.
