While changing the GUIBO, I hope you replaced your rear end seal and rear diff fluid.*
* = If not, it helps to post about these projects BEFORE you do them. If you posted a couple of days ago, "I am replacing my guibo, anything I should consider?" This way, you'd have folks writing in offering, "replace your seals" or "have the resonator removed and install a straight pipe" etc. :) What provoked you to replace your guibo? Shaking or vibration? Replacing the guibo can help and it can be the cure, it can also be a waste of time if it's the u-joint in the drive shaft. Keep us posted.

Can you expand on the rear end seal?
My car sits at an angle.
I have heard it could be the tranny mount, or the guibo...
Thoughts?
Thank you Yoda!

the u joints are fine
the car have a little clunk noise on the rear
guilbo replaced the noise its gone
i did not replace the rear end seals or the fluid.
the car have 40k miles so why bother.
i only pay 40 bucks to get the job done
and the last time i went to this place with my e36 i did replace the guilbo or universal joint and u joints because they were toasted
this time around only the guilbo was toasted and not as bad as the guilbo on the e36

An angle? You mean the driver's side is slighty taller than the passenger side?
Shaft seal # 7:

If one is going to drop their drive shaft...replace the seal the shaft sits in, replace the rear diff fluid (75w/90 synthetic Royal Purple ftw for our rears i believe that's what it was for my 03' 525) and if one was going to drop their rear axles, they'd replace # 8:

EDIT: If you had a bad tranny mount, you'd know it. And if you had a bad guibo you'd know. Vibration or clunks. I think you're talking about your driver's side sitting a tad higher than the passenger side, right?
:)

Cool beans, good stuff. My rear diff seal where the shaft goes in started leaking at 60K miles. It was replaced and since we had to drop the shaft, I thought it made sense to replace the guibo. And since the rear diff had two more main points it could leak, someday down the road...we dropped the rear axles and replaced their seals too. Filled her with Royal Purple and called it a day. It cost more than $40.00, it was $150.00, but it felt great to get things done.

You are correct.
The passenger side sits lower than the driver's side.
I noticed this when putting jack stands under the car.
