Flashing Oil Light

My mechanic says that the oil leve is a too high and that could be causing the light. He asked me if I wanted to do a pressure test, I had him just replace the pressure sensor, any thoughts?

hi, yep might be worth checking the oil filter base section, i had a similar problem on a 320d, turned out to be the pressure relief valve in the housing under the filter that was worn , changed it then no more flashinmg oil light!, hope this helps.
