Turn Signal Indicator on cluster inop.

Hey guys!

A friend of mine has a 1998 540i and the turn signal indicator lights on the cluster does not light up but the lights on the exterior are working fine.

I'm starting to think it's a bad cluster but has anyone else ever had this problem and if so what was the fix?

In a search you will find many electrical gremlins that could cause this. I had this problem for different reasons. Connection behind radio was incorrect. Unless someone was recently messing with your climate control or radio wiring, then your cluster, ignition switch, ect. will be the source.
