Yes, I searched, but there was no thread concerning the two waxes that I am curious about. And actually, I was pretty surprised that there wasn't a previous thread about Souverän vs. Füzion Estate.:confused

Wolfgang Füzion Estate Wax

It's a black e36 coupe. I'm just wondering which wax is softest, and which wax is hardest. I'm wanting to try to layer them (obviously). Also, are there any tips or suggestions you guys have for layering methods? Any special tricks or diddly-do's that you know about when it comes to layering?
PS- I've already got Füzion Estate on the car now, I'm mainly curious if I could put the Souverän over the top of it without hurting it, and was curious if I applied multiple layers what it would do?

Sorry for the n3wb questions. Don't answer if you don't feel like it's worth your time, or if you think I should go search more.:rolleyes

Well, believe it or not you're comparing apples to oranges. Souveran is king of the hill when it comes to carnauba waxes, Fuzion is an entirely different animal.

IMO Fuzion will always layer better due to the polymers in it. Carnauba content and hardness is similar in both, but Fuzion tends to make lighter colors "POP" more without sacrificing wetness. Fuzion also lasts noticeable longer. In our harsh south FL conditions, I realistically get 1 month out of a carnauba. I've had Fuzion on my car for 2 months and it's still going strong.

With that said, Souveran is still king of the hill when it comes to carnaubas and will always make black look SWEET no matter what. However, Fuzion uses newer technology and gets my personal vote. They are both about the same price when you factor in the cost of the free refill.

I can't give you real first experience about Fuzion but I can with Pinnacle Souveran.

I do layer Souveran on vehicles and it really just give you a deeper, warmer look. I only do two coats, anymore and your wasting time.

The only real tip to layering is making sure the first coat has properly cured after you have buffed it off the car. It's generally 12 hours between coats, just make sure the surface it dust free.
