SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD!!!! Thanks everyone.

Holiday Special- Buy it before Christmas for only $999 + shipping!!! These are increasingly harder to find. Get yours now!

I have parted out my supercharger kit and am now selling my RMS aftercooler. It comes with the aftercooler unit, front mount heat exchanger, Bosch water pump, Stage 2 thermoplastic intake tube with Bosch bypass valve and T-bolt clamp, wiring harness with relay, and power steering reservoir relocation bracket with hardware. The water pump is new, and the heat exchanger is almost perfect with very few bent fins. There is a small scratch on the top of the aftercooler unit. It could probably be filled in with a Sharpie or something so it wouldn't be noticeable. Originally 1495. I am asking 1199 + shipping

You do not need software or any other supporting mods to run this. Even stage 1 cars can benefit from a cooler, denser charge. Just because it's cold outside, it doesn't mean that your intake charge is cool as well. The aftercooler will get your intake air temps to just a few degrees above ambient.

Read more about it: http://www.racemarque.com/CatalogPages/products.html?series_id=11

Will consider partial trades for cams, bolt-in roll bar, seats/harnesses, steering wheel, etc. I would be buying them soon anyhow.... Anyone have a Recaro they have decided is too much for their DD? :)

You can kind of see the scratch a little better in this pic.

Will this fit a 95 e34 with a Powerdyne SC in it???

A few people have gotten this to work with a Powerdyne (on an M5x motor), I do believe. It will probably require slight modification to the hot side end tank. Run a search in the FI section to see how much work is involved.

Doesn't fit, the ABS solenoid is in the way on the E34.

Thanks for the insight... I wasn't positive on that. I was probably thinking e36 w/ Powerdyne.

They don't fit E34's at all, I'm in the middle of getting a custom one made instead of my RMS one. ;)

will this fit a Dinan Vortech V2?

turbosporttsi

Yes it will. It was designed to be used in conjunction with Vortech superchargers (except the VF Engineering kits). This will drop your intake air temperatures and reduce heat soak, resulting in better driveability, reduced chances of detonation, and more power.

I wonder how hard this would be to fit in the Mcoupe bumper.

The front mount heat exchanger should not be too much of a big deal to fit in the bumper opening. If it is a little too small, you could scoot the heat exchanger back towards the radiator. That is how the dual pass heat exchanger (the larger heat exchanger from RMS) is... it mounts on the radiator in place of the aux fan. The brackets should be very simple to make. It would be even simpler if you or a friend can weld... then you can make whatever brackets you need very easily.

What I did, when I made my own custom FMIC, was go to Home Depot and buy some L-brackets and some straight pieces of metal with holes/slots in them. I attached them to the bumper beam with small bolts and nuts. Worked very well.

So does this mount as a FMIC??? Instead of as the aux fan as the previous setups?

Yes. :) This style is called the FMHE (front mount heat exchanger) and looks just like an intercooler.... the old style is generally referred to as the dual pass heat exchanger.

Hmmm...so in theory a car down here in the south will run cooler since its not double using the aux fan?

Not sure I am tracking on that... By "double using the aux fan", do you mean using the aux fan to cool the radiator AND the heat exchanger instead of just cooling the radiator?

Yes, exactly what I meant sorry it was hard to put it down onto words.

Well then, the aux fan would be able to cool the radiator more effectively, yes. It would not be blowing hot air from the heat exchanger onto the radiator. I guess you need all the cooling you can get in FL, huh?

late to post...Currently rebuilding an E36 M3 motor. I have been looking for an aftercooler for my build. The motor has been running 7 psi for a while and looking to bump it up to 12 after my rebuild. Is their anything missing from the KIT? Do you have the instructions? how many miles on it?

turbosporttsi

There is nothing missing from the kit to my knowledge. I never ran it... so I don't know the mileage. None of the parts are really wear items though. I bought it from Ben (xinline6x) while I was deployed overseas and did not install it.

The kit appears to be complete. The only thing it is missing is the instructions. The installation should be pretty straightforward... if you need help, there are many other people on the board who can help. Maybe someone even has the printed instructions they can send you.

You can also PM Ben directly, as he is involved with RMS to a degree and can most likely score you a set of instructions. You can also call RMS directly at 818-778-6106.
