Ok, I have a 2008 BMW 328i Convertible and the windshield washer light flashed many times today. Until this afternoon, the light flashed again when I stopped at a stop sign and the car suddenly stops. Then I restarted my car and try to move the car, it won't move, the car was not responding when stepping down the pedal. Stepping down the accelerator pedal didn't do anything! Then I ran to a gas station and bought some windshield washer and added and then I started my car, now the car is responding.

Is this a safety issue???wont' let you drive when the windshield washer is really low or what? I've never head of this problem.

whatever the case. do not step on the throttle when the car is turned off or when starting the car. you do not want to flood your engine with extra gas, the fuel is electronically controlled. you could have really done more damage than good. if the problem persists take it to a dealer before you really screw something up. good luck.

Uh....I don't think you're right on that one. If a car has a carburetor, you can flood the engine with fuel, but NOT a fuel-injected one. Even the most basic fuel-injection systems do not inject fuel unless the car is in run mode.

The two problems are unrelated.

yeah bring it into the dealer, is it an auto?

Flood a fuel injection car? Think before post my friend, however as someone who has flooded a few carburetor equipped cars its not fun.
