indie more expensive than dealer?

so i got this estimate for the following list, from the BMW dealership for my 01 530i

front lower control arm, r&r
front thrust rod bushings, r&r
front stabilizer bar link, r&r
intake hose, r&r
valve cover gasket, r&r
oil filter housing, r&r

they quoted me ~ $1900 for everything including, parts, labor, taxes.

then, i sent the same repair list to a local indie here in Chino Hills. Their prices are even higher than the stealership, amazing!

Do you guys know of any reasonably priced BMW repair shops/mechanics in the LA/OC area?

Please help as I would like to get these things done soon. I just moved here to the area and dont know much about it.

Im not sure if thats a good price or not, but i think you should try doin some of that yourself. Also, dont forget to give the regional section a try for a good local mech too...
