18 inch sport wheels on 328xi?

I am currently looking to buy either an 07 or 08 328xi without sport packagae. My question is could I use the 18 inch sport wheels (style 162) on a 328xi without sport package? will it have any effect on the standard suspension or handling? i understand that it could give me a harsher ride. The reason i am asking is because i cannot stand those 16inch wheels on the e90's. Thanks

Is style 162 intended for use on x-drive models? The non-x wheels are not interchangeable with the x models AFAIK.

I have them on my car which is a 328i with sport package. I would think the clearance would be greater on a non sport package even taking into consideration the all wheel drive.

I love the 162 style. I think BMW made a mistake getting rid of them for the 2009s.
