Hello

I have a 1988 325i convertible and the black trim on the front and rear bumpers is faded gray. It looks horrible and was wondering if forever black would make it turn black again since its like a rubber vs the plastic trim moldings

Thanks Bruno

You can use the Forever Black - that will work; I also recommend a product called Black Wow - started using it this year on my E36 fr & rear bumpers - works extremely well (it's a bit pricey, but worth it imo).

Forever black is a very good products to use on restoring black trim.

If you do pick some up, use thin coats and do multiple coats to make it look good.

Unfortunately it is plastic and forever black will last a week if you are lucky. Take the trim off and paint it. You will not regret time spent. 3 e30s in the family, ask how I know.

Forever Black dyes the plastic, it's not just a dressing. From my experience, it'll have semi-permanent results.

The included foam applicator may make the Forever Black froth up a bit. Make sure the froth doesn't dry on the plastic part. Better to wipe it on with an old microfiber.

It is easy to use and you do have to apply multiple coats to make it look good.

These were taken with my camera but you get the idea.

black shoe polish (for color, every year or two) and a wipe down of 30spf sunscreen (for uv protection, every wash)

Why not use the Forever Black tire gel, that's made for rubber.

is it a rough surface or smooth? if its smooth, use wax, i've done it before and it works great. or if its rough, use mothers vinyl interior stuff, that also works well and lasts for a long time too. little bit of rubbing involved but its worth it at the end.

I have the bumper off my car now doing some deer repair and wondering about painting the trim, what kind of paint should I use? And its not like I can sand it because its textured, so...
