View Full Version : Hey I'm new!
Hello to all, I've been hanging around here for a while and it's time to get in on the action! I've owned 3 BMW'S (74 2002 tii, 90 525i, 98 528i) and I need to get info as everyone else does when it comes to adding to or upgrading my car. I'm currently driving a stock 98 528i sport that I haven't done any mods to but after seeing some of the awesome cars here I'm ready to do the no brainer upgrades. Things I would like to do are clear tail lights, front lights, and wheels and tires. I cant believe the great prices for these after market items considering how much it cost me to upgrade my 1990 525i in the late 90's! So, what do you guys think of the stuff on ebay? $60 for tails lights sounds great, and so on. Back in the 90's clear tail lights were $300-$400 for my 525i, and I spent $ 2000 on Rondell (replicas)#72 18'' wheels and tire's. Now you can get a set of 18'' staggered M-Pars with sos so tires for $1100 (not oem) from the local shop here in Long Beach. So, for now I can wait to hear some of your input about these aesthetic upgrades, any and all of your input is appreciated!

Welcome here, I am not sure how the oem parts compare against all the after market stuff available, hope someone else will have some input on that.
But its all up to yourself how much you wanna spend on certain things, and sometimes quallity costs more.

I'm not a fan of ebay. Some of the stuff you can get will be the same as what the vendors sell, but most of the time it's not. Go with a quality vendor like ModBargains, Jlevi or Euro-Spec for your mods.
I've bought all my mods from them. KW coilovers, LED tails, random LED lighting, wheels, tires, exhaust, M3 steering wheel from Tischer.
