reseting SES

the gas cap wasn't tight, and the gas cap thingy came on. after my gf was too lazy to fix it, the SES light came on....

how the hell do I reset this thing without taking to the dealer to unplugging the battery???

Just wait for it, it reset after several restarts of the car, nothing to worry about. If you take it to the dealer they will send you back telling you the same thing.

yeah i've had it reset in a day on my e36 and sometimes it took a week or so. Try restarting your car more often during the day, may or may not help.
