i was reading up about this. but someone posted that they drove without a fan clutch. can this be done? engine is a m50 nv btw.

im converting to a electric but im not sure about driving with out one , fyi i can stop mine with me hand when the motor is fully heated up :)

well i'm only asking because the stubborn bastard of a bolt that holds the fan to the fan clutch refuses to come off. its so far broken 2 of my allen keys and one screwdriver/ratchet bit.

Chucked a fan blade on Sebring (actually 2)... ran 2 30 minute hot lap sessions without problem after the aux fan was jumped to operate constantly. Car would start heating up when at a standstill but at speed no problems. Worst case scenario it can be done... but if you're planning on getting rid of it you're going to need to switch to an electric fan. This was on an m60b40.

my mechanic did it... i'm not sure. Someone on here will be able to tell you, though.

In the dead of winter (if you live in a cold climate) you should be fine unless you sit in traffic for an extended period of time, obviously cannot be done in the summer. Woouldn't really reccomend it in the end though, just buy a new clutch cheapass :D

i got a new fan clutch, lol. its sitting right here, i just want the bolts off!!!!1

you know what i do to stubborn bolts for example the lovely torx 30's that were on my intake manifold. I CUT THERE HEADS RIGHT OFF
