In my opinion phoenix yellow was ugly on e46s, so you never should have painted your e36 that color. :)
If it were my car, I'd go back to the original color, which was granite silver IIRC?, and I'd lose the front end and the fender flares.. and then I'd change the wheels and lower it and so on and so forth...
but that's why we all have our own cars.

Dude, I respect the work and everything, but why did you decide to spend so much on the e36 to get it to look like an e46 when you could've just bought an e46 for the same price? The lines just don't work. It wasnt meant to be.

Oh, and the time attacks just don't fit in at all.

spoonerDee
10-16-2008, 04:07 PM
I don't think the wheels look good, they don't seem to flow with the car.

The front arches are WAY to big and go up way to high on the body, that is one of the main things that does not play well with the e36. the car is a little to square for big curves like that.

I respect the work, you did an amazing job, just a little to over board for the euro scene.

Most people on here as you can see are going to be complete asses towards your car because your not a sheep like all of them. Most of them tend to follow the same boring trends.

My best tip would be to make the changes a bit more subtle. MORE IS NOT ALWAYS BETTER.

All in all i think it looks pretty decent except the front wheel arches, they are just too big in my opinion. Oh and the color does not complement the car. Something darker perhaps

You really thought he was either that uneducated or that much in a rush that his posts aren't great? You didn't once think maybe he spoke a different language?:confused srs question..

The car looks very bad in my opinion but you could improve it and make it look awesome. It needs new front and rear bumpers. Paint the hood. Fill in hole behind the front fender flares. Different deep dish wheels and a good drop that will match the wheels nicely. The fenders could be changed a little to make them smoother and flow better. I would lose the e46 headlights(and anything e46 for that matter) but they might be able to work. I hope you can comprehend my post. I tried keeping the english as simple as possible.;)

I think it would look better all black car-sinister! Though not my taste, I'm glad that you have individualized your vehicle for your taste. Just because its a BMW does not mean you have to be a stiff suit or preppy! BMWs in Europe are like Civics in North America this is the car of choice for youth because of price and individualism. Vehicles are something that can be made to suit your taste and you can do yourself that's why many different aftermarket parts are made for cars from body kits, wheels, seats and of course paint. Be your own man and do what you like.

the front fender needs to be hacked up and tucked upwards so it doesnt stick out and down so much... the rear could look good with a proper drop and fitment. Right now it looks like you tried to use the widebody as a way to eliminate fender gap which is the opposite of what a widebody does.

Im not sure the excat details but i know that in european countries there are laws that requrie you to register all performance mods and thus increase in insurance. also some countries over there have laws that prevent people of certain ages from owning certain types of vehicles depending on engine size and displacement. this and the fact that gas is SUPER expensive over there is why so many young people in europe just do styling mods. and yes old bmws are quite plentiful over there

OP just clean your car up a bit to make it flow better like lose the e46 front end cuz a round front on a square car doesnt flow but hey you seem to be getting the idea. the whole point of the rides and styling section is to get ideas, opinions and see what works and what dosent.

I agree. Respect to the work, that must have taken forever. :redspot. But personally, it looks like an E36 to E46 conversion gone wrong. Might as well bought a Civic and did the same thing :shifty. Not my cup of tea at all, but there are a couple of things about your styling approach that could be improved:

- The e46 headlights are too modern and not boxy enough to compliment the e36 bodylines
- The colour does nothing to accentuate the lines on the e36. The colour looked bad on the e46, even worse on the e36.

If you wanted to stay with the current widebody theme, I suggest changing the front end back to the e36 fashion, respray the car something that is not so horrendous, for some reason, I think a dark colour would work best. A dark blue perhaps?

Ok forget what most of the AZZHOLES are saying!!! Lose the e46 front bumper and rear. Change the rims they don't flow with the car at all try to get something with a nice lips on it. Complement that with a drop. And last but not least CHANGE the color. Other than that good luck and dont ever be afraid to try something different. I do believe that is why we are individuals!!!!!!

That turbo is WAY WAY to small for the M52. You are probably making, what, 350whp at max boost??

your seats look HUGE. also it looks like you designed the widebody without accounting for a drop.

ah. Looks like a lot of work went into the car, but just didn't turn out in a respectable way.
