Hey guys,

The driveshaft u-joint moves front and back a few cms while still maintaining full range. Would it be possibly to fit a rear diff slightly longer or shorter and by how much without putting so much stress on the joint assuming that everything else bolts on just the same? Basically the input flange would stick out or in by 1/4"to 1/2".

Assuming the shaft is correct for the car, why not just swap in the correct pinion flange?

Input flanges would be identical... that'd be too easy now wouldn't it :) !

Well, there is a center carrier bearing that you'll need to loosen and adjust according to your diff. I think it's got 2cm slots on either side of the bolts. When re-installing, make sure you preload the carrier as well.

Awesome, I heard that before. I haven't looked so I'm having a hard picturing what can be adjusted down there. Thanks for the tip!
