So I suffered extensive damage on the right rear wheel of my two month old 335i (!!) (approx 75% of the circumference edge is badly scratched, minor scratches on the face)
What would you guys think is the best/cheapest (might not be the same) way of getting this worked out? Any good wheel repair places in NY or, in the alternative, reasonable prices on good condition/new wheels?
the car has the 18x8.5 Flared Flat 7 Spoke 6765817
thanks!

There are repair shops that will fix and paint the wheel, or you can look on ebay and find somebody selling a rim.

One wheel on my about one week old 328 got scratched on a curb (I now know better) and the dealer sent a guy that fixed it to like new in about an hour. Doesnt sound as bad as yours but its definitely worth looking into repair.

Has this type of stuff NEVER happened to you in the past, or is the 335i REALLY your first car ever?
In either case, there are plenty of places out there all across the country that can fix rashed rims for ~$75-$120 per rim. Google "wheel repair New York" and I'll bet you'll find at least 10-20 places that will fix the rim and fix it as good as factory within 20 minutes of where you are.
I can't believe the "get a new rim" advice. Seriously, unless the rim is bent or cracked, there's absolutely no need to get a new rim. I've seen the good rim repair guys work, and even on tricky finishes like shadow chrome you will NEVER be able to tell that it's been fixed even if you work in the industry.

If the rim repair people do a good job then it's difficult to tell the difference. My friend installed 18inch in his Nissan Altima (2.5) and less than 5 hours he stratched one of his $500.00 US rims very badly. He took it to a rim repair shop and I can't tell it apart from the original rims.

never happened, second car ever
yea, I could probably live with it but 75-120 (I'll ask around) sounds like a reasonable way to get my mind off it....
and definitely, I now know better

I think the advice of looking on ebay and finding a wheel repair place isn't bad advice. If you find somebody getting rid of a rim, or a junk yard it could be cheaper or the same as a repair.
