E90 wheels?

I was thinking about changing the wheels on my 328 for the 18" wheels from a 550 ( style 124). The offset of my current wheels are 34mm while these others have 20mm offsets- my question being are they still going to function properly? Should I just stick with the original offset even though the bolt patterns are the same (5 x 120 and 18 x 8)

the 5 series wheels will stick out too far and risk hitting the fender. There is also a good chance that the 5 series wheel is wider then your current wheels which will make them stick out even more with that offset change. plus if they have the original 5 series tires on it, you'll have even more problems.
