than say stuff at autozone, like maguairs nxt tech wax 2.0, or colror x polish, i mean i have seen stuff done with autogeek.com products on here before, just hard to dstinguish a difference in pictures. i know the leathrique stuff is the bomb! i have seen that. also, i have a 10" polisher, i got at autozone for 10 bucks ( i know, i know, but i wanna learn how to use it well before i get a really good one) where can i buy pads for it to correct paint swirls, also what type of pad for waxing? and one last question, what is the best way to fix a little crack in the front seat, it's about as long as an index finger, it's just cracking/flaking. not torn.

wow, where do i start.
1st off, the polisher you got is garbage. You might as well use it as a vibrator. They will not make pads for that polisher.
Most everything on autogeek is much better than autozone. It is a specialized store. You will not find the compounds, glazes at autozone. the best thing they have is NXT 2.0 imo and really that isn't all that swell.
You have to pay to play.

I am not aware of any product that will fix cracked leather. All you can do is keep it from getting worse.
As for what products to buy, look at some of the detail threads by FMinus, he lists what products he uses.

That depends completely on which product you're talking about.
For one, the CD-2 engine detailer is not available from Autogeek and as far as I know, can only be found at Autozone...unless you want to pay big bucks to order it from Midway through Amazon.com. But it's the only engine detailer I would use.
But by and large, most of the stuff at Autozone is not in the same league as Autogeek. However, if you have an O'reilly Auto Parts store with a paint section and you like Meguiar's products, you can find the Meguiar's Pro Line which is the exact same stuff Autogeek sells. But outside of the compounds and polishes, Autogeek probably has a wider selection even in that line alone. Not to mention all the other products they carry.
And as mentioned, the polisher you have is junk. You'd have been better off saving the $10 and putting it toward something that works. No sense in looking for pads for it because, in the first place, they probably wouldn't fit and second, it doesn't have enough power to do real paint correction even if you did have the right pad.

OTC products have gotten better, no question. Also, you can get some of the Meg's proline products at places like Autozone and O'Reilly.
Before I switched to Poorboy's, I used to use the Meg's #7 polish and the #26 wax. It worked well. The thing is, the Poorboy's stuff is so much easier to remove - I never feel like I have to scrub it.
The usability is the key thing with a lot of these products, and that's where the Autogeek stuff differs from the Autozone or O'Reilly's stuff.
I do use the Meg's NXT Tech wax spray to top between polishing and sealing, and for that it works just fine. I also use their otc clay.

I had been using the OTC Meguire's products for years and thought highly of them. Last year I got a PC7424 off of Craigslist to try and get a shine out of my aged E28. I picked up some 3M polishing compound at my locall auto parts store, stuff that I think is now sold as "3M Finesse II". I also used it on my E39 with what I considered to be good results, even though I was using some "unspecified" pads I had gotten with the PC. They were fairly hard, non-foam ones. The end result on the E39, when waxed with Meg's #26, was pretty good but I still had a lot of swirl marks.
Last week I bought at Autogeek.net and got in some CCS pads, Menzerna polishes (PO 83Q and PO106FA) and Pinnacle Liquid Souveran wax. After the treatment, I still have evidence of some deeper scratches and a few outlines of mineral deposit damage, so I know now I should have started with a more aggressive compound. Still, what I do have right now is SO much better than before with the OTC products.
Next spring I'll add the Menzerna S034 compound for paint correction effort, and repeat the steps I just did. I know for certain the result of that will be amazing, because even as it is now I've had my neighbors (who are not car people) comment about my new paint job. It looks that good from 5 ft away. You really have to be in bright sunlight and looking very closely to see the remaining defects, so I'm going to say the AutoGeek stuff is well worth the money. Their service of the sale was also exemplary.

I recently purchased a Wolfgang PC7424 kit from Autogeek, and although I've yet to receive my package (which is en route as I type this) I must agree that their level of service, expertise, and willingness to offer advice without question cannot be beat.
I have neither the time nor patience to find the products that they so readily offer.

To answer your general question... YES lol
the only things i buy at Autozone (because i go through them quickly) are the 12-pack microfibers, Gold Class car wash, clay, scrub brushes (for carpets), MF applicator pads (for applying anything that is not going on paint), sometimes Megs ALL Wheel cleaner (when i dont go to the pro detail product distributers) and Meguiares Ultimate quick detailer (for QDing my wheels mostly)

I was reminded today of one reason that I prefer Autogeek.net's products. I was working on my son's E28, it needs a full paint correction. Well, I don't have a polishing compound coarse enough to get out the scratches and major case of swirl marks, but to get it at least 1/2-way done I used my PC7424 and the Menzerna PO83 compound I do have. Better, but still showing some swirl marks. But I digress.
I needed to get a coat of wax (or 2) onto the car before cold weather/snow hits, so after the polish I grabbed a can of Meguire's Gold Class paste car wax that I had kicking around. I have Pinnacle Liquid Souveran wax, but I saw no point in putting that expensive stuff on top of remaining swirl marks.
As soon as I started putting it on, I knew why the Gold Class stuff was collecting dust on the shelf. My God, does that stuff STINK. Almost made me sick to my stomach, and now I'm having a hard time getting the smell off my hands. It smells like a cross between puke and rotting flesh.:bluecry1

I also shop with Zaino from time to time, and find their service to be great as well. Fast shipping, easy transactions, no hassle.:)
