Luggage rails, polish or ???

For those with a 325i E46 wagon with the black luggage rails - any tips on finish care for these? Same wax/polish used on paint? I guess I'm trying to preserve the "satin" black finish, rather than make them glossy.

Are they the same finish as the windshield wiper arms?

If so, Klasse All-In-One polish on a microfiber worked pretty well for me, for removing the spots, oxidation, and general ugliness.

Yup, similar or same as the windshield wiper arms, matte black powder coat paint. I think powder coat is pretty durable, but my Honda Civic wiper arms have long since lost their black coating and now raw aluminum. But don't want the rails to become 'shiny' black is the challenge.
