I have a '97 BMW 528i and i have tons of sratches on my hood, roof, and trunk. The only explanation i can have for all of these scratches is that the owner previous to me had to have used this to carry christmas trees. Now that I have the car I'm trying to get my cars finish at least satisfactory. Any ideas on what to use? Thanks.

If you don't own a polisher, you'll want to pick up a PC 7424 or Flex 3401. With the PC, I'd go with 4" yellow cutting pads (6.5" with the Flex obviously). First thing I'd reach for is Meguiar's #105 compound. Finish with something like Wolfgang Finishing Glaze or Meguiar's #80 and a green pad, then wax/sealant of your choice.

Thanks. How much are the buffers you think? I've seen the PC 7424 before and I think I'll go with that. I'll take your word for the Meguiar's too, what do you think for a wax/sealant because I haven't had good luck with those very much.
