What can I do? I love these rims but I believe they're rubbing up inside the wheel well toward the outside (not the lip itself that was already cut off before). I do have coilovers and the car is not really dropped low. I could probably get it to work if I jacked up the rear end but that would probably throw any sort of balanced weight distribution out the window. Has anyone ever had the inside of rims machined down to get a larger offset out of them? Any cheap fender flare solutions? Thanks for any help.

I bought the General Exclaim UHP and they only make a 255/35 not a 245/35 or else I would have.

sell them, get some PS2`s in 245/35
seems like a simple fix to me.

those tires are too tall. 245/35 or maybe even a 235/40 tire would be a better choice.

They're brand spankin new, I would really like to try and make them fit. I just bought a new house and don't have the money to throw on new tires. I'm also running over 500WHP and don't want to go any skinnier than I absolutely have to. I thought I was being safe with a 245 series =(

Even 255/35 would have been an easier fit.

Even with a et35 offset?
Even with a et35 offset?
you do understand that there is more to tire traction than the width of the tire right?
some 225`s will have more grip than even a 255, the compound, and temperature have A LOT to do with traction.
If your on a coilover, y not just raise the car a tad? it will SLIGHTLY distort the balance, but thats nothing that can be felt on the street. Maybe on the track, with the car at the limit, but if u dont have the funds, and you have to keep your tires, it seems like a common sence thing to do.

I talked to the tire place , they're going to see what they can find for 245/35's. I think they're actually going to take back the tires.

That would be good, because you bought some cheap tires for someone with over 500whp.
A good body guy can give you more clearance in the fender wells without being visible from the outside. A bad body guy in a hurry ripples the quarters.
More spring rate will also reduce squat and thus reduce the rubbing.

I would call them inexspensive before I would call them "cheap". They're 4th best out of about 40 for grip in the summer tires on Tirerack . They can't be that bad. And with 500whp I'll spin any tire even PS2's so I don't feel like spending $300 a tire either.
